It is often argued that towns and cities around the world should have large public areas such as squares or parks. Although there this problem has certain disadvantages, I firmly that the advantages are more significant.＋

On the one hand, there are some reason to believe that building public outdoor places has negative impacts. The first reason is that these places take much spaces in the crowded city. Many major cities and towns in the world have the excessive population density, this lead to some significant problems such as housing shortages and deteriorating and lacking of cutting-edge road systems. As a result, large public spaces are less necessary and governments need to measure several existing issues before building these places. Another contributing factor is that making plans and building public spaces may cost much money and time. Building a public area in a large space requires many approvals from citizens. For example, in Hanoi, to clear houses to make ways for a new public structure, Hanoi government must spend a huge amount of money not only in building, but also in compensating＋ On the other hand, despite the negatives mentioned above, building large public outdoor spaces is a positive development. The main reason is that it provide more spaces for people to exercise and entertain. Parks or squares may encourage city dwellers to go outside more rather than stay at home for a long time, espesscially in summer time when children do not go to school. Consequently, it may boost resident's overall health and it can also be a place for public activities such as raising funds or music concerts. Furthermore, establishing large public areas may attract more tourists. In some places in the world, squares and parks are preferred by eco-tourists, they want a place to breath fresh air, access nature and avoid concrete structures.

In conclusion, while some people believe that large public spaces like parks or squares has several drawbacks such as wasting money and time and taking much spaces in city, I agree that the benefits, including providing more spaces for outdoor exercise and entertaining and encouraging tourism. In the future, it is likely that governments will build more public places and and reduce housing density in the city
