The two charts illustrates the changes of demand in steel and industrial's workforce in UK over a period of 30 years. It is clear that the production and demand on steel industry fell drastically, while the import sector recorded a constant rise. The overall employment status also declined over time. Regarding value changes figure, in 1970, the total UK demand was 200000, highest of all time, dropping gradually to 1980 before experience a plunge to merely 100000 in 1990 and ended at exact one hundred thousand units. Simutaneously, the production also decreased as the former's collapse. Starting at around 160000, it's manifacture fell steadily to 70000 in the last year surveyed. According to the import category, it was not popular until 1970s, from approximately 15000, it's cargo increased sharply to 1980, hovering around 50000 units for the next ten years, however, it's quantities surged to just below the production's figure for a small-scale gap. Looking at the remaining chart, the employment status in UK experienced a continueously downward trend with three stage of declining, separated by 10 years each. In the first pharse the number of wokers employed fell 10000 employees, the next pharse was more remarkable, which was doubled in numbers. The last pharse recored a moderate drop, only around 3000 workers.
