In today’s globalised world, travelling abroad to experience cultural differences is losing its appeal due to the similarity of places around the world. I assume that there are numerous reasons for this cause, and this essay will examine the pros and cons.

Introduction
Body
There are many reasons why countries around the world are becoming more alike than they used to be in the past. To begin with, modernisation and urbanisation are becoming increasingly widespread in the metropolitan areas. This may result in traditional ways of life often being abandoned as cities develop and city dwellers will become less willing to preserve traditional customs. Moreover, migration has been becoming common for people in developing countries. They may migrate to seek better living standards and different customs might be brought into host countries, gradually replacing or even overshadowing local traditions. For example, large cities such as Ha Noi and Bangkok are filled with global brands, international restaurants and modern shopping centres, making them increasingly difficult to distinguish from one another. On the one hand, this trend will modernise infrastructure, making travelling more convenient for tourists. In addition, globalisation stimulates tourism, trade and foreign investment, thereby promoting economic growth. On the other hand, once traditional architecture, languages and customs disappear, they are extremely difficult to restore, resulting in the permanent loss of national identity. For example, Da Nang in Vietnam is now known as a modern, international city rather than a strongly traditional one. For this reason, I am convinced that the drawbacks of this development clearly outweigh the advantages.
Conclusion
In conclusion, despite the practical benefits associated with globalization, such as greater convenience and economic development, the erosion of cultural uniqueness has far more serious and irreversible consequences.
