＋There is a growing belief that improving orad safety by holding annual driving test for vehicle drivers is the most effective solution. From my perspective, I completely disagree with this idea.

First and foremost, this measure is likely to be impractical. The main reason is that traffic accidents usually occur due to some problems like drunk and unconscious drivers or even unexpected problems on the road, not because of lacking experiences from the drivers. Moreover, holding public tests can be costly, since many standards such as accommodation, vehicles, and training staff need huge budgets and resources. As a result, this measure not only fails to tackle the rooted problems but also put a strain on national economy. For example, training police or experts to judge and supervise these tests can take much time and money for salary and operation, and these budgets can be spent on more useful fields like providing programmes and entertainment for the workers to enhance their physical and mental well-being or upgrading traffic facilities to minimize the risk of traffic accidents. Moreover, this action can cause public dissatifaction. The justification is that many labourers and office workers, who are very busy and usually in their workplaces, have to spend their little spare time testing skills that they practice every day, thus, they can become annoyed and believe that this activity is a waste of time. For instance, with people who work far away their houses, they have to take many hours drive to their workplaces, if they have to take part in the tests, this journey will be repeated tediously and uselessly.＋

In short, since the main reasons of traffic accidents are not because of a lack of driving experiences, holding annual driving test for vehicle drivers can be ineffective and wasteful because of requiring huge budgets and time. Moreover, this action may create a strong sense of annoyance among residents.
