The bar chart illustrates the proportions of male and female Australians engaging in physical activity across various age groups in 2010. Overall, almost all aged women groups took the lead, except at the earliest age groups where men took part in more regularly than women. Collectively, those aged 55 to 64 had the highest total percentage. Regarding male cohorts, the youngest group showed the most regular physical activity at 52.8%. This frequency, however, declined in the 25- 34 age cohort at 42.2% and reached the lowest point at 39.5% for the 35-44 group. A recovery trend was seen at the 45 and over groups when the percentages of three groups represented around 43 to 47%. A distinct pattern was observed in the female groups as the age advanced, the regularity higher. Starting at 47,7% (15-24), the trend consistently climbed to and peaked at 53.3% in the 55 to 64 group although those for 55-64 edged down to 53% and finally at 47.1%.
