There has been a debate over whether it is more crucial to teach kids to be ambitious enough to compete with each others in their studies or should they just dedicate their time practicing teamwork . In this essay, i will evaluate both of the approaches and give my opinion.

On the one hand, urging kids to be competent academically can help them have a grasp of the newly-provided knowledge in a short ammount of time. To explain, when new information is introduced in class, competitive children will try their absolute hardest to comprehend and to not fall back behind their peers, this makes studying less discouraging as the learners are studying willingly and not being forced into doing so. Despite this, encouraging kids to be competitive also comes at a great cost. To explain, children are already vulnerable to stress and are easily worn out even in normal school settings, the introduction of a highly-contested atmosphere can greatly put a toll on their mental health.

On the other hand, cooperation is also a pivotal skill that needs to be implemented more in the curriculum. This is because in today's world, most work are done through the internet and it's making people more socially awkward by the day and leaves them with thoughts that they can't clearly express through words due to the lack physical engagement. By making kids cooperate at schools to solve tasks, it can greatly help them in communicating through the act of explaining their ideas to their teammates.＋ However, excessive teamwork can potentially make children heavily dependant on others for answers, always be actively seeking out for assistance even when it is not neccesscerily needed .

In conclusion, both views can be beneficial and harmful at the same time. In my opinion, it is best to manage the two approaches equally as they both provide crucial knowledge to help kids later in life.
