Meanwhile, the figure for house burglaries grew substantially to 0.60 million in 1980 then remained unchanged until 1985 and climbed slightly to approximately 0.70 million in 1990. However, England and Wales saw a remained trend in the kind of street robberies, staying at 0,01 million until 1990. Turning to the remaining years, the number of car thefts recorded in England and Wales increased substantially to 1.60 million in 1995 before declining and reaching 1.00 million in 2005. At the same time, the figure for house burglaries remained stable at 0.70 million until 1995 but later decreased considerably to nearly 0.50 million in 2005. On the other hand, the sort of street burglaries recorded in England and Wales climbed minimally to 0.20 million in 2000 then remained unchanged until the period's end.
