The supplied line graph shows the number of births and deaths in an European country from 1950 to 2050. In general, the total birth had a strong fluctuation, then it decreased and increased slightly while deaths remained unchanged during the 100-year period. Although births were higher than deaths at the beginning, deaths overtook births in the end - 2050. In 1950, the proportion of births got a higher level at 750,000, compared to 700,000 deaths. Over the next one century, this figure experienced many significant changes from two following rates. Looking at the birth rate, we can see that it fluctuated dramatically during the first 40 years, with a peak at 1,000,000 in 1970 and falling suddenly to 600,000 in 1990. After that, from 1990 to 2050, it followed an upward trend and will remain stable at about 700,000. Meanwhile, the death rate maintained the same level, around 700,000. It will just really increase to 800,000 in 2050. The distance between them was not too far to compare throughout the period, and differed by about under 100,000 at certain times. However, when births reached a peak in 1970, it had a gap of approximately 300,000. Births started with a higher point in 1950, but deaths may pass finally in 2050.
