Nowadays, some people argue that using local resources such as food or building materials is the best way to protect the environment instead of transporting resources from other places. However, I believe that using local resources is not the best way to protect the environment.

On the one hand, using local resources is the positive way to protect the environment because it can reduce transportation in countries. As a result, the quality of air may improve significantly, be more fresh and then decrease the number of people who suffer from respiratory issues. Besides, local companies do not have to package products with too many layers or storage much like imported goods. Thus, local companies may have a potential decline in electricity and water for production and finally promote a green environment.＋ On the other hand, some places or countries do not have enough conditions to manufacture products effectively and promptly due to weather or limited resources. Therefore, the percentage of using water, materials and electricity may increase dramatically and so on still have a detrimental impact on the environment. Moreover, large-scale production may be greener and more frugal since several countries use renewable energy, alternative energy and cutting-edge technologies. Consequently, it can boost productivity and create more good career opportunities for the unemployed and also reduce consequences on the environment. For example, growing tomatoes in warmed greenhouses in the winter may generate more emissions than importing from warmer countries which helps us realize that imported goods are not always a bad idea.＋

＋In conclusion, we have to balance both perspectives because these opinions not only have negative results but also bring beneficial opportunities for the environment and national industry.
