One argument against this is that access to fresh water is one of the basic human rights, and should not be restricted. If the government were to regulate water consumption, a disadvantaged family might face many difficulties. For example, low-income families might struggle to obtain fresh water for their daily needs. This, in extreme situations, can lead to some health problems such as dehydration. Therefore, this can cause concerns, dissatisfaction, even protests in communities. Conversely, I believe that regulating the water can preserve the water for future generations. One reason for this is that not only is water a limited resource, but it also cannot be replaced by any other substances. This can lead to water shortages in the future, if excessive water consumption continues. Admittedly, controlling the water supply can cause health problems. Water consumption in industrial areas is substantially higher than that of households, so this can be prevented by just restricting the amount of water consumed by factories or companies instead of inhabitants.＋

In conclusion, although restricting the water consumption can place financial pressure on low-income households, this can be minimised. However, I believe this is essential to preserve the water resources for future generations.
