It is thought that children should begin school at a very young age, while other people hold an opposite perspective. This essay will examine both sides of this aspect before stating my own point of view.

On the one hand, there are many compelling reasons why people advocate for early formal education. To begin with, early schooling can take advantage of children’s natural ability. In fact, their brains are highly adaptable, which allows them to absorb new knowledge more easily than older children. As a result, young learners are able to absorb theoretical information more quickly, which can foster their academic performance. Furthermore, attending school at a very young age helps children to be exposed to an academic environment early, meaning that they are likely to handle problems in school, not only issues related to study but also other situations such as teamwork or problems among peers. This can equip them with problem-solving skills, benefiting their educational purposes.On the other hand, despite the aforementioned advantages, I still support that children should postpone their schooling until they get older. Firstly, children need more time for cognitive development. For example, l mathematics requires not only sophisticated formulas but also abstract concepts and complex structures to solve. It is difficult for early-aged students to comprehend and handle without a solid knowledge background compared to older students, who may encounter these formulas at home. Moreover, children need more time to develop naturally through playing and exposure to the surrounding environment, allowing them to develop a sense of creativity. This factor plays an important role for their education in their future, which allows them to build solid knowledge for long-term academic prospects.

In conclusion, while early schooling has plenty of benefits, I still hold the view that they should delay starting school until they are older. This approach can help them develop fully and have more time to prepare thoroughly before school.
