Overall, it can be seen that over the period, the housing sector had the highest figure, while food and transportation followed respectively. Another point is that healthcare and clothing had the lowest figures in the period. In 2009, the share of expenditures on housing in the United States reached the highest point of over 25%. The United Kingdom and Japan followed at 24% and 22% respectively. Canada had the bottom of the period, at over 20%. Canada had by far the most expenditures in transportation at 20% compared to 17% and 15% respectively in the United States and the United Kingdom. Japan had the lowest figure at just 10%. In contrast, food in Japan had the highest expenditures, almost 23%. The United Kingdom followed at 20%, and expenditures in the United States and Canada were only 15% and 14%, respectively. The data show that health care in the United Kingdom had the lowest figure, while the United States had the highest figure at almost 7%. While the United States had the lowest expenditure compared the highest expenditure is Canada, at 6%.
