This phenomenon has introduced significant challenges, namely environmental degradation and the erosion of cultural identity, however, these issues can be mitigated effectively through the government regulations and the promotion of sustainable travel.

The influx of global travelers has caused several major problems. Firstly, the most immediate threat is overtourism, which has put a strain on local ecosystem. The construction of massive resorts can lead to habitat destruction, while famous tourist attraction are under threat of heavy pollution because of litter left by tourists. Moreover, international tourism often contribute to losing local cultures. It can be seen in the way they dress in their traditional clothing.
