Academic pressure helps adolescents identify clearly the importance of studying and head in the right direction from an early age. Moreover, allocating funding to educational programmes by governments may create many talented individuals who would likely contribute to the workforce. From this, nations would quickly transform to modernized and industrial processes. Nevertheless, educating solely is not enough. Young people need after-school programmes to relieve stress and connect strongly with their friends. Because if they only study without entertainment, they will easily burn out and may be depressed, which leads to students not being keen on studying. This serves as a wake-up call to adults, especially parents who always place excessive emphasis on their children’s education.

＋In conclusion, although I acknowledge why many people focus heavily on academic achievement because of the ultimate goal, I still believe that a moderate balance between studying and playing is a better choice, instead of focusing only on one of two.
