Thus, candidates with extensive experience tend to gain a distinct advantage during the recruitment process. Subsequently, the more intellectuals in turn cause stricter hiring criteria, which threatens to increase the unemployment among graduates. This would enable students to gain hands-on experience and develop the professional skills expected by employers before graduation. In addition, students themselves should take greater responsibility for their personal development by participating in extracurricular activities, earning professional certificates, and improving transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. These efforts would make them more competitive in the labour market and significantly increase their chances of securing suitable employment.
