The graph illustrates an important reason which pupils select a certain university in the UK between 1997 and 2007. Overall, the percentage of pupils who prefer an environment university with a suitable degree course, quality of teaching and proximity to parental home increased, while the remaining group showed an opposite trend. Looking first at suitable degree courses, quality of teaching and proximity to parental home, suitable degree courses accounted for 35%, compared with just 15% quality of teaching and only 10% proximity to parental home in 1997.After that, the rate of suitable degree courses rose slightly 37%, while the increase have indicated in quality of teaching and parental home,a significant jump to 18% and 22%, respectively, in 2007. Turning to the remaining group, the proportion of students in quality of resources and good sports and social activities , figure the quality of resources showed 21% main reasons, negligibly higher than that of good sports and social activities, only 19%, in 1997. Following that, a moderable decline was recorded in quality of resources, about 17%. The good sports and social activities also drop to 6%, in 2007.
