The maps compare the layout of Port Harbour between 2000 and the present day. Overall, the harbour underwent significant reorganization during this period, with the arrangement of boat facilities and the development of new amenities. Additionally, the most significant modification is converting the castle into a hotel, with the addition of commercial facilities. Starting with the north-east of the harbour, in 2000, there was a dock to serve passenger ferries, and a public beach located along the eastern shoreline. In the present-day layout, the dock area has been extended with an additional port to provide better port service, while the public beach remains unchanged. Regarding the west of the area, it featured a marina where private yachts were located, some showers and toilets, and two car parks connected to the main road in 2000. Up to the present, the marina has been relocated southward, and fishing boats have been moved closer to the dock. A new complex of cafes and shops has been established between the lifeboat station and the marina. Additional shower and toilet facilities have also been constructed to accommodate increased visitor numbers. Moreover, the castle in the western section of the harbour has been transformed into a hotel, with a new access road designated for hotel use only.
