The given maps illustrate the centre part of a small town namely Islip as it is now, and plans for its development in the future. Overall, the The islip town centre will be transformed to become the area of modernization with new facilities. Notably, the main part of the town will be reconstructed substantially in the north to make way for many convenient and modern buildings. Now, the islip town centre have two shops along the main road, with the contryside in the north. However, its development in the future would be significant, the shops in the top of the map will be demolished to make way for a bus station, shopping centre and car park providing the convenience and recreational activities, which will be placed next to each other. The new housing also will be constructed in the northeast in front of the small road, connecting to the main road. In addition, the road and transport system will be expanded to the dual carriageway surrounding the centre, with the part only for pedestrians will replace the main road currently. By contrast, the shops below and the park in the south will be remained unchanged. The new housing will be built next to the park, which would offer more accomodation for people in the town.
