The pie graphs illustrate the proportion of people who play electronic gaming in South Korea in 2003, categorized by age group, gender, and preferred types of games. Overall, it is noticeable that electronic gaming was the most prevalent among people under 36 years old, especially male. In terms of types of game, almost players expressed a penchant for action games, while educational and unnamed categories were unpopular in South Korea. As can be seen from the graphs, around 23%of South Korean population, above 36 years old, played game in 2003. And this figure accounted for one-third of the population. While the percentage of players from 18-36 was the largest segment at 38%. Another trend is that a half of players was male ( 72% ), which showed that electronic gaming was not option for the female. Because the chart witnessed 28% female playing electronic games. Im terms of preferred types of games, action game, the predominant choice of players, made up 43% compared to other types of games. Followed by sports and racing games, with 20% and 17% respectively. Whereas, the remaining games including educational and role-playing games, equally less favored, had a similar share at 7%. Finally, it was apparent that unnamed games was the least preferred by players with 6% in 2003.
