The bar chart illustrates the relative number of female compared to male students participating in various educational stages between 1990 and 1998. Overall, it can be seen that the number proportion of developing countries always lower than the developed countries ones. In addition, while the amount of girl students in developed areas was increasing from primary schooling to higher education, the volume of females registered to school in developing areas decreasing moderately throughout this period. Focusing on university education, in 1990, there were 66 girl students who continued to school at developing nations. However, in this year the female in developed areas attending to school stood at 105 people that showed the gender balance. Whereas the girls in developing regions were 75 students at 1998, in developed countries it reached a peak at 112 students. At secondary schooling, in 1990 the proportion of two type countries stood at 75 students and 98 students, respectively. Following by then, in 1998, the amount of girls enjoying school continue rose slightly to 82 people at developing areas and 99 students at developed areas. At elementary schooling, there were 83 females attending school at developing regions and 95 people at developed economies in 1990. The number of females in developed nations exceeded than the one of developing nations by 9 students.
