The two maps illustrate how a science park has changed between 2008 and the current day. Overall, the layout has experienced a dramatic change throughout the period. Notably, the greenery has been reduced to make way for new facilities and expansion, accompanied with the appearance of a new cycle path. Regarding the Northwest in the map, the grassland has been cleared to make way for a totally new building called Research and development. The eastern part of the grassland was a construction with two separate sites, but now the reception has disappeared and been replaced by a university hub. Strikingly, a new cycle path has been constructed, running alongside the main road and circling the central car park, while the business units have been staying at the same place until now. Moving to the Southern, there is a reverse change between the car park and the cyber security site. The car park has been minimized along with the green land, while the cyber security has been substantially enlarged northwards. Opposite this building there used to be an IT centre, but it is now replaced by a different functional site called innovation centre. It is also noticeable that no changes were made to the woodland in the southwest, which remained its original location. Meanwhile, the railway has been upgraded with a new station located in the south.
