The line graph illustrates the amount of water consumed in three different purposes: agriculture, industrial use, domestic use over the 100-year period from 1900 to 2000; while the table compares the water use in Brazil and Congo in 2000. Overall, what stands out from the line chart is that three sectors experienced the upward trend over the period in question. Additionally, Brazil seemed to dominate in all aspects, which was population, irrigated land and water consumption per person, compared to Congo. Looking at the details, with respect to the line chart, the water consumption in agriculture stood at nearly 500 km3, after which it witnessed a surge, reaching its peak at almost 3000 km3 in 2000, about 6 times higher compared to its starting point. Although the water used in industry and homes were slightly similar in 1900, their finishing points were completely different, over 1000 km3 and 300 km3 respectively. Turning to the table, the number of Brazilians was significantly higher than that of Congo, 176 million people compared to 5.2 million people. As a result, due to the higher population, the irrigated land in Brazil was 265 times larger than that of Congo. The water consumption in Brazil also surpassed that of Congo, with 359 m3 compared to 8 m3.
