The diagram below illustrates the steps involved in recycling plastic bottles to create useful plastic products. Overall, the process can be divided into 9 steps, starting with using rubbish bins to collect plastic waste and concluding with producing essential products from raw material. At the first stage of the process, plastic bottles are gathered together in recycle bins. Then, sanitation workers transport these discarded items to the recycling center by garbage truck. After arriving at the center, plastic waste is separated into various similar groups. Subsequently, workers compress these bottles into blocks to prepare for the next stage. At the following stage, the blocks which are pressed previously are crushed into many plastic fragments. Before being produced plastic pellets, workers wash these fragments right after crushing process. The plastic pallet is put at high temperature to generate raw material. Finally, unprocessed material is utilized to produce end products such as clothes or plastic containers. These items are reused and thrown away to repeat the similar cycle.
