In contemporary society, there is an ongoing debate regarding professional's employment. While a vast number of people argue that medical specialists or engineers should be required to work in the country where they completed their education, on the other hand others believe they should have the freedom to elect the country they prefer to be employed. This being said, before expressing my personal view, both stances will be further elaborated.

Examining the former opinion, the foremost argument carried out by proponents is the so called "brain drain". In other words, this is a widely known phenomenon regarding those who decide to leave their own country in order to locate more profitable occupation's opportunity abroad. For instance, the trend in Italy has been surging in recent years, leaving the country with fewer and fewer eligible candidates. This illustrates the fears of those who advocates for the former stance. In fact, their objective is to preserve skilled-labour and national expertise.

Conversely, those who support the latter view claim that nowadays it would be outrageous for governments to impose limits on individuals' will. Therefore, anyone should be able to be autonomous in choosing their best fit.＋ Moreover, this is reinforced by the fact that many financial systems are collapsing all over the world. As a consequence, keeping an eye on other possibilities it is not just a matter of will anymore, but in most cases of necessity.

To conclude the discussion and express my personal opinion, there are convincing arguments for both stances. However, I strongly believe that preserving the ability to choose freerly where to undertake an occupation should generally have priority. At the same time, it should be the local jurisdiction's role to try and limit this phenomenon by diminishing economic crisis and fostering more stable job opportunities.
