The bar chart compares the share of male citizens 16 to 25 years old living in a particular country who enjoy observing sports to who are big fans of taking part in sports. Overall, the figure for male individuals viewing sports remotely predominantly exceeds that of participating in them, except for fishing. In addition, most males prefer to watch football, horse riding, and racing from a distance, while fishing attracts the majority of gentlemen who join in. Regarding the figure for team sports, the proportion of males who watch football (45%) was nearly five times higher than that of male individuals who participate in it (10%), accounting for the sport that most people watch. Similarly, basketball and rugby are watched by 38% and 30% of males, respectively, each surpassing the participant rates, which are 25% and 20%. Turning to the remaining sport, roughly one-third of male individuals falls into observing badminton, followed closely by roughly 25% of them taking part in it. Furthermore, fishing and horse riding and racing record the exact opposite pattern. The former stands out as the sport attracting half of the males who join in, while it is the least watched activity, with merely 15%. The latter, on the other hand, accounts for the largest share of male observers, with 45%, which doubles the proportion of them joining it.
