The two maps compare the changes that have been experienced in a student common room over a 5-year period. Overall, what stands out from the plans is that the room has been significantly redeveloped. While the dining facilities have been improved, the seating area has experienced significant changes, and several amenities for studying and relaxing have also been introduced. Looking at the details, as regards the northwest, although microwaves have doubled in size, the benches have experienced an opposite change, reducing by half of it. However, another dining kitchen necessity such as a cupboard, a sink, or a refrigerator has still remained unchanged. Additionally, the tables have undergone a removal of one circular table to make way for a rectangular one. Turning to the southeastern side of the plan, a recreational space including armchair and television have replaced the bookshelf for entertainment demand. Moreover, there has also been an introduction of benches for laptops and a new drink machine.
