In certain respects, it is undeniable that learning by watching TV is one of the most effective way for children to approach knowledge. Firstly, adolescents with short attention spans tend to be attracted by eye-catching and vibrant content on television. Combining lively animation and attractive sounds could stimulate children's curiosity, which could hold their focus effectively and make completed topic easier to stick in their memory far longer. Furthermore, a huge number of TV programs nowadays are specially designed for children's education, especially linguistics. In the globalization era, equipping language skill for young adults plays a crucial role and demands attractive educating methods, so watching TV provides a distinct and effective approach to enhance new language rather than theory.＋Nevertheless, there is a host of compelling reasons as to why I am convinced that its demerits are far more considerable. First and foremost, this approach poses several negative issue related to adolescents' physical health. Excessive viewing not only generate sedentary lifestyle but also make them susceptible to health condition like obesity or eye problems. Another reason is that television can discourage social interaction and active thinking in young minds. The educational measure regarding regularly viewing makes children absorb information passively and be afraid of social activities. In long term, it poses social isolation and takes them into passive learners, which makes it more harder for young adults to stay focused during traditional lessons at school.

In conclusion, while it is irrefutable that educating children by viewing television could offer some merits relevant to educational values, I would contend that the demerits this approach including negative effects on physical health and social skill are outweigh.
