It is often argued that learning with online materials is more practical for students. However, others hold the opposite belief that printed materials are much better. Although both sides present compelling arguments, I tend to side with the latter option for several reasons.

On the one hand, I believe that online materials are a sustainable method for the environment and particularly convenient for many individuals. This is primarily because this method is usually used for higher education, which contains a considerable amount of syllabus and documents. Printing all of these types of papers causes a significant waste, notably damaging not only the environment but also the preservation activities in many nations. Furthermore, online learning materials come in many forms ( interactive diagrams, audios, online books). Therefore, making the learning process more easy to access, practical for both teachers and students and for storage additionally.＋ On the other hand, supporters of printed materials argue that this technique is especially appreciated for brain memorization. Subjects like math or science require various notations, which make learning on laptops challenging for note-taking and calculation. Many studies have shown that learning on paper is more efficient when students read from printed materials rather than digital ones. In addition, less electronic devices mean less disturbance, learners will intend to pay more attention to the lectures. Another advantage is that paper is more user-friendly, significantly suitable for old teachers and younger students. For example, learners in remote areas always struggle with the lack of digital devices, therefore using printed materials is the possible solution to tackle the challenges.

In conclusion, although both online materials and printed materials offer certain advantages, I am convinced that conventional methods hold more validity in the long run. It is recommended that further investigation should be taken to maximize the benefits of paper learning while minimizing any drawbacks.
