Intelligence is clearly valuable in a leader. People in positions of authorities often have to understand complex problems, predict consequences, and make smart decisions om time under pressure. From my perspective, I completely disagree that intelligence is the most important leadership quality. A leader need to work responsibly and persuade others for share goals.

On the one hand, it is undoubtedly that intelligence is often placed at the center of leadership. Governments, companies, public sectors face challenges that requiring informed solutions. In addition, a capable leader needs to understand competitive markets, financial knowledge, critical thinking and consider how one decision may effect several groups at once. In particular, intelligence play a pivotal role when circumstances change, leaders need to make a different decision rather than follow an instruction that no longer works effectively. Therefore, without this ability, they may ignore the extreme issues or rely on much the judgement of others.However, intelligence may become dangerous since a leader is still impulsive and dishonest. This matters especially in using intelligence to protect poor decisions and manioulate other people. A clever leader may be not manage their group unless they can be capable of persuasion and reponsibility. Leadership needs not only intelligence but also recieve respectation from employees. Moreover, They also need emotional intelligence to understand fear, resistance, morale within a group. A good leader must know when to act, when to listen and when to admit their faults. Consequently, they may make their group more effective and move towards to a common goal.

In conclusion, although intelligence is often placed the heart of leadership because it helps a leader overcome this challenges easier and make a better decision for authority, this ability alone may not bring effective solution and even it can also take risks. A optimal approach is besides intelligence, a leader should improve emotional controlled skills and persuasive ability.
