Some people believe that digital devices can actually bring serious interpersonal problems, while others argue that technology can assist individuals with communication. Personally, I support the opinion that technology can both benefits and harm us in different ways.

On the one hand, technological developments can help us communicate more conveniently. To begin with, with the invention of social medias and messaging platforms, individuals can convey ideas or transmit information with just a few simple operations while keeping the contents of the text unchanged. This makes communication much faster and more effective, motivating people to utilize these social applications. For instance, there are numerous texting apps such as Messenger, Instagram which enable users to connect with others even from other nations without any restrictions and difficulties. Moreover, the evolution of technology can encourage individuals to engage in social activities, forming a strong cohesion between people. In today's world, groups of volunteers are prioritizing social medias as methods to spread positivity by talking and informing people about voluntary events. Consequently, they will feel more interested in these activities and start contributing to the society instead of staying away from others, eliminating isolated lifestyles.

On the other hand, using digital platforms excessively can also lead to serious social issues. Firstly, lack of face-to-face conversations can erode our ability to communicate properly. In daily situations, we have to consider the meaning in our partner's speechs while also analysing their emotions and body movements to determine their attitudes right on the spot. Overly reliance on texting can significantly deteriorate our observing skills, as well as our understanding skills by deterring the natural process of communicating and keeping us away from appropriate ways of imparting ideas. In addition, when users stubbornly maintain that harmful habit of depending on technology, it will create serious psycologic issues. To illustrate, research shows that teenagers who are constantly exposed to social medias for a long period of time face various mental illness such as dementia, insomnia, or even hallucinating.＋

In conclusion, the advancement of technolody is a double-edged sword. It is actually one of the most efficient ways of communicating, while also potentially having severe impacts on users' comprehension. Therefore, people should adapt an appropriate solution to use these digital developments safer and better.
