The line graph illustrates the proportion of unemployed workers in European Union from 1990 to 1999. It is clear that, all types of workers showed the fluctuated trend except Self - employed workers saw an increase trend in almost periods. In addition, Manual Workers were the highest percentage in some years but professional workers always were the lowest in all periods. On the one hand, although manual workers accounted for the highest unemployed rate in 1990 to 1994, there rapidly decreased to 8% approximately in 1996 and did not change after 2 years. Initially, professional workers show the increased trend from 1992 to 1997 but after 3 years there fell to 2% in 1999. Howerver , the manual workers's percentage was always 4 times higher professional workers in almost periods. On the other hand, both of self - employed workers and all workers showed the declined trend but there remained stable at 10% to 12%. But self-employed workers were stable than all workers because from 1992 to 1999 self-eployed workers saw an increase approximately at 8% while all workers just increased from 1992 to 1997 and there showed a decreased trend after 2 years.
