Remote learning has increasingly become a prevailing learning method for a number of student. Although there are some significant drawbacks in terms of this trend, I believe that the upsides will overshadow these.

On the one hand, there are several undeniable disadvantages of learning online. One of the most practical issue is that remote students may lack face-to-face interaction with their teachers and peers. This means that they may not get direct feedback from teachers and real-life conversation with their classmates. As a result, students may suffer from a sense of isolation and loneliness, along with feeling awkward to engage in group discussion. For example, university freshmen who want to broaden their social bonds may find it hard to get on with people, as they are not given a suitable physical environment which facilitate verbal communication. Furthermore, this learning approach can cause procrastination and loss of motivation among students, especially those not having high levels of self-discipline. Since students may lack sufficient promotion and encouragement from teachers when learning online, they can be less involved in their own study, which can eventually lead to lower academic performance.

On the other hand, I suggest that the benefits of studying online are superior to those analyzed drawbacks for the sack of several reasons. Chief of these is the affordable cost that students have to spend for their education. This is due to the fact that they do not have to pay money for services such as transportation or eating when studying in physical schools. This can be particularly beneficial for those coming from a lower-income background. In addition, remote learning provides students with self-management, meaning that they can personally keep track of their own learning process. This will allow them to follow their study level or personal ability, thereby enabling them to improve their weaknesses or selecting appropriate courses to enroll in. While those in real-life classes are often put in mixed-ability class, in which they can be left behind by other superior peers, those learning remotely can avoid this misbalance and choose a suitable class level for themselves.＋

＋In conclusion, despite having some disadvantages associated with procrastination and lacking face-to-face interaction, I would reaffirm my position that the benefits that online education provides are far more significant for students.
