Overall, the process comprises four main stages, beginning with the excavation of a man-made hole and concluding with the closure of the landfill, allowing gases to escape through the pipes. Initially, a man-made hole is dug in the natural rock. Next, the hole is lined by a layer of clay, followed by the synthetic substance to prevent leakage. After that, the drainage system, including drainage pipes and a drainage tank, is installed at the bottom of the landfill. Turning to the next stage, the hole is filled by household waste. Once the landfill reaches its capacity, it is sealed with a layer of clay. Finally, gases produced by waste are released through the pipes.
