The diagrams illustrate the development of a stone cutting tool during the Stone Age by comparing Tool A, which was used 1.4 million years ago, with Tool B, which was used 0.8 million years ago. Overall, the cutting tool became more refined and symmetrical over time. Although both tools were approximately 5 cm long, Tool B was thinner, sharper and had a more regular shape than Tool A. Looking first at Tool A, its front and back views show that the tool had an irregular shape with a rough surface. It was relatively wide and uneven, with only a few sharp edges. In the side view, the tool appears quite thick, suggesting that it was less suitable for precise cutting. n contrast, Tool B shows significant improvements. From the front view, it has a more symmetrical and teardrop-shaped design with sharper edges. The back view also appears smoother and more evenly shaped than that of Tool A. In addition, the side view indicates that Tool B was much thinner, making it likely to be more effective as a cutting tool. Despite these changes, both tools remained the same length, at around 5 cm.
