The illustration demonstrates how pineapples are grown and prepared to produce different products. Overall, the process consists of five main stages, starting from growing pineapples, followed by cleaning and cutting processes, and culminating in packaging or exporting. Initially, the pineapples are grown 26cm apart and under the sunlight which is about 23-30 degree Celcius. After seven months, crowns have grown significantly. At this point, ethylene is applied evenly to the plants until five months later. This process ends when the pineapples reach an appropriate size, measuring 30cm high and weighing 2kg, ready for the next stage. Next, the pineapples are collected and washed properly before being sorted into three different sizes to produce different products. Regarding the group of smallest pineapples, their crowns are chopped away and they are also being cut into slices. Then, those slices would be extracted and the final juice will be packed in a paper carton. Medium-sized pineapples are cut vertically into two equal parts, which then would be sliced into thinner and smaller pieces before being packed in a round carton. Biggest pineapples would be applied to a layer of wax before being stored in different brackets. Finally, they are transported to a ship and exported to many different regions by sea.
