Introduction

It is widely assumed that detailed criminal description on the media, including TV and newspaper has negative influences, so it is suggested that the government should restrict this information in social platforms. In this essay, I would discuss my own perspective and explain why I partly disagree with this statement.

Body

Initially, the first reason is better to restate the idea that excessive detail in crime reporting can negatively influence the young generation and it should be limited. First and foremost, detailed information can partly encourage young people to have misconduct if they have violent tendencies. Therefore, the rate of juvenile delinquents will be one the increase. This is largely because youngsters do not mature enough to understand misbehaviour. To be specific, if violent crimes are represented in the media, it will lead to imitate behaviour in order to attract attention.

Nevertheless, I believe that detailed depiction of crime is necessary to inform the public of misbehaviour, allowing young people to understand the risk they can face in society. As a result, they can learn how crimes are committed effectively through many online platforms such as Google and Facebook. Besides, it permits the young generation to increase their socials’ awareness, which enables them to gain appropriate cautions. In addition, detailed crime information may maintain the transparency of the legal systems and authorities, ensuring the citizens’ safety. For instance, in Vietnam, many cases of misconduct are widespread on the internet to educate young students to avoid imitating these misconduct. Consequently, it allows students to gain numerous valuable knowledge and efficiently reduces the young perpetrators.

Conclusion

In conclusion, although detailed crime reporting may have detrimental effects on the young generation because of imitate behaviour, I believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. When social platforms represent crime information, people can increase socials’ awareness and effectively educate students to avoid misbehaviour.
