Introduction

There is a common belief that regular students should pay attention to studying while others argue that they should also take part in extracurricular activities in their school or in the community. From my point of view, I totally agree with the second opinion for these following reasons.

Body

On the one hand, spending most of their time on studying may benefit students but it can also limit their development if they just focus on studying. Firstly, their social circle can be limited because they do not spend time outside which can make a person become introverted. Therefore, sometimes they can be shy if they have to present their project in front of others. In addition, spending all day studying may cause stress, anxiety, and even burnout, which can negatively affect academic performance.

On the other hand, balancing both studying and extracurricular activities in their school or in the community can help students become mature rather than just focusing on education. The first benefit is that they can learn more other soft skills beyond their books. For instance, when participating in volunteer activities, students can develop their teamwork because they have to work with a lot of people there. Moreover, other activities outside class help gain experiences which are not taught in the class. These experiences may make students more mature after graduation and avoid some unexpected situations they may face in the future.

Conclusion

In conclusion, for the following reasons, I do believe that although paying attention to studying is beneficial , students also need to spend time on other activities which make them become more independent and mature.
