Introduction

In contemporary years, due to fear of failure, youngsters do not want to participate in sports competitions anymore. Therefore, there is a belief that competitive sports should be prohibited. From my perspective, although the feeling of losing may cause a negative effect on teenagers’ mental health, sports competition can provide further benefits for their development and should be encouraged rather than banned.

Body

On the one hand, receiving the bad results in competitions leads to children’s limitation in confidence. To be more specific, losing in a competition is not only mean the defeat against on opponent, but also mean the weakness in capacity. And this is a thinking, which teenagers always immerse themselves in after a failure in one competition. Especially in sports competitions, requiring a long time of training and taking place in front of a huge amount of audients, the failure may have a greater impact on youngsters’ mental. Youngsters will face to the debate of public opinion and the doubtfulness in their ability if they witness as the losers. Thus, the afraid of expressing themselves will be built up, leading to the low self-esteem and a fence in development. Consequently, the sense of fear is not only happened in sports, but also in learning, working and communication. As the result, the banned regulation in sports competition can limit the detrimental influence on children’s advancement. Contrastingly, losing in sport competitions can be considered as a valuable lesson for youngsters to improve themselves. To be more specific, sports competitions are a organization for people to meet their rivals in the same interest. Therefore, when failing in a competition, children have accurate perception of their abilities and disadvantages to enhance. For instance, in football, the failure can teach them more about teamwork skill, personal durability and the flexibility in situations, which can bring better results for them in the next competition. Additionally, competitive sports can foster youngsters’ well-being. Playing sports is normal in life, but it will be more special if there is a competition with the reward. From this, it can motivate teenagers to join in and practice more to be the winner. Thus, the more training they have, the healthier they become. To sum up, this type of competition should be spread and encouraged among young people, which is beneficial for their comprehensive development.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it is undeniable that the feeling of losing has the badly impact on children’ mental, but it just a experience and this experience can grow up to be a lesson. Moreover, sports competitions can help youngsters to improve their physical health from training and preparation time. Due to those, the organization of competitive sports should be enlarged and increased instead of the prohibited idea.
