Perspectively, I largely agree with this opinion because they make more efficient use of land and can improve residents' quality of life if they are planned properly.

The main reason why I support this view is that tall apartment blocks allow cities to make efficient use of land. In most major cities, land is both scarce and expensive, making it difficult to provide enough homes for everyone. By choosing to build upwards instead of outwards, developers can accommodate hundreds of families on a relatively small piece of land. As a result, this approach helps deal with housing shortages while reducing urban sprawl, which often leads to the loss of farmland and natural areas. Therefore, constructing apartment complexes is a practical way to meet the increasing demand for housing.

Another advantage is that modern apartment complexes can offer a more convenient lifestyle. Many high-rise buildings come with useful facilities such as parking areas, supermarkets, parks, gyms, and security services, allowing residents to carry out their daily activities more easily. In addition, when people live in concentrated areas, it is easier for governments to invest in infrastructure and public transport, leading to more sustainable urban development. Admittedly, a high population density may put pressure on public services or cause traffic congestion if cities grow too quickly. However, these problems can be addressed through effective urban planning, ensuring that high-rise housing remains a suitable long-term solution.

In conclusion, I generally agree that building tall apartment blocks is the most effective way to provide enough homes in large cities because it saves land and offers many practical benefits for urban residents.
