Introduction

Human activities in land and sea pose a threat to animal species extinction. This essay will discuss the reasons behind this phenomenon, then offer some feasible solutions to it.

Body

There are a number of factors responsible for the animal extinction. Chief among these is that people hunt animals for commercial purposes. Because of the increases in popularity’s demands for the luxury fashion industry, leading to exploiting a huge number of animals to satisfy the demands and generate income sources. This issue results in the loss of many animal popularity. For example, several individuals prefer handbags made of crocodile skin, so that they give a huge expenditure to quality bags and buy newly-launched ones frequently, leading to the phenomenon of hunting dozens of crocodiles to harvest skins. This leads to a dramatic decline in crocodile population. Another reason is that factories dump untreated wastes into marine life. Evidence can be seen in industrial factories, especially fossil fuel exploitation factories, where there are a huge amount of toxic substances generated per day, which mostly dump into the nearby rivers or seas without proper treatments. This can give several adverse effects on marine animals habitats, which means that this can lead to the loss of valuable animals.Various measures, nevertheless, can be adopted to tackle the situation. The first possible approach is that the government should launch strict regulations about hunting and exploiting animals, especially animals put on the edge of extinction, thereby reducing the negative impact on their population. If the government does not take immediate action, more and more animals are being commercial targets, leading to overhunting or illegal hunting. This has an adverse impact on wildlife survival. Another point that should be considered is that industrial corporations and factories must take responsibility for their own actions. Specifically, these business organizations need to understand the importance of marine animals in our ecosystem so that they can manage their exploitation properly. Instead of dumping untreated chemicals into rivers and seas, factories should invest in eco-friendly production methods and treat their toxic waste properly before releasing it. By doing this, these companies can significantly reduce their negative impact on animal life and help prevent marine species from becoming extinct.

Conclusion

In conclusion, several reasons can be given to explain why animals become extinct. However, steps can be taken to alleviate the situation.
