Dealing with social issues is the government’s duty. Due to the fact that they own specialised agencies and trained officials, who are paid to handle public issues. As a result, if citizens are compelled to handle instead, this is a signal of the government failing to do its job.

However, I believe that citizens have the greater responsibility which is beyond only fulfilling tax obligations. Local people can volunteer in their community to make a noticeably tangible contribution. For instance, they begin offering free tutoring to underprivileged children or caring for the elderly. Unlike taxes, these activities genuinely create a direct impact on people in need. Citizens should have practical action toward the surrounding community. For example, show respect to neighbours and assist the elderly, or not to throw away trash in the wrong place. When everyone works together, the community becomes a peaceful and civilised place to live.
