The map demonstrate how the ground floor of the library changed in two years. Overall, the ground floor undergone a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which are the addition of many new types of books, the area for children and technological devices. Regarding the surrounding area of the floor, it had seen a number of changes, with the separation of self help and history books to 5 types of books involving history, fiction, self-help, kitchen, economics and law to attract more readers. The northern of the floor witnessed the introduction of children’s area, replacing fiction area. Therefore, it was appealing to new type of customers. A librarian’s desk, entrance and stairs remained in the south of the library. In term of the center of the ground floor, there used to be a shelf book of newspaper and periodicals, but is had been redeveloped into technological area involving films and DVD and two computers. The sitting area expanded to make more space for customers to enjoy the reading vibe.
