The map demonstrate how the ground floor of the library had redevelopedin form 2001 to 2009. Overall, the ground floor underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which are the addition of many new types of books, the area for children and technological devices. Regarding the surrounding area of the floor, it had seen a number of modifications, with the separation of self help and history books into various specialized book section to attract more readers. The north of the floor witnessed the introduction of children’s area, replacing fiction area. As a result, it was attractive to new types of customers. A librarian’s desk, entrance and stairs remained in the south of the library. There used to be a shelf book of newspaper and periodicals, but it had been redeveloped into technological area involving films and DVDs and two computers In term of the center of the ground floor, the sitting zone had expanded to make more space for customers to enjoy the reading atmosphere.
