＋Some people believe that in the modern world people have become more independent, while others argue the opposite. This essay will discuss both views before explaining why I believe that we are more and more free and independent.

On the one hand, many people think that people are more dependent on each other because of technological development. When the popularity of social media is increasing, individuals spend a large time using smartphones, social media platforms such as Facebook, Tiktok and Youtube, playing video games for entertainment. Furthermore, with the development of AI, people can easily search for information, which they need without difficulties when finding out some things. This may lead to becoming addicted to technological devices and dependent on support tools. As a result, some people may face unexpected issues when solving their problems by themselves. For example, many students depend too much on Chat GPT for doing homeworks and studying, so they usually receive low points on exams. On the other hand, I believe that people have become more independent because nowadays, when the society is more developed, people have more opportunities to develop professional skills, find jobs, and learn to understand themselves. Therefore, they may be confident to go out into the world with the various valuable knowledge and easily face unexpected problems without being scared or nervous. In addition, people are avoiding negative traditional views such as male chauvinism, staying with parents, and getting married before 25. By doing this, many young people can choose what they want to, what they become and where they like to live, which helps them feel more relaxed, satisfied and independent, and enjoy a comfortable life. For example, a poor person can gain valuable knowledge and study more skills through social media platforms with no cost.＋

In conclusion, with the modern world, many people are more dependent because of addicted technological devices and support tools. However, I strongly believe that social development and decreasing negative traditional views help people become more independent.
