The table depicts the distribution of genders in some types of employment of one town in 1990, 2000, and 2010. From an overall perspective, the majority of male labourer joined manufacturing, while most of femal workers opted for tourism. The figure for manufacturing witnessed a downward trend throughout the time, while there was a considerable increase in service sectors. In terms of retail/ shops employment, the proportion of men worked in this industry remained stable at 13% throughout the period of time, while that of women rosed from 7% in 1990 to 9% in the final year. Likewise, the figure for tourism in men underwent a slight dip by 3% to 10% in 2010, whereas there was a surge in women figures, which skyrocketed from 23% to 27% at the end of the given period. When it came to health industry, the figure fore men plataued at 7% for 20 years, before increased to 9% in 2010. Conversely, the figure for women progressively rose from 9% to a high of 15% after the period of 30 years. That of man in manufacturing sector plummeted by two-third, from 30% to merely 10% in 2010; similarly, the proportion of women in the same industry reduced a half, from 7% to 3% in the final year.
