The following table illustrates the proportions of water usage for domestic use , industry and agriculture in four different nations. Overall, agricultural water usage was shared the largest in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, while industrial purposes were primary focus in Canada and New Zealand. In addition, domestic use represented the lowest percentage among the four countries. Regarding Egypt and Saudi Arabia, the majority of their water usage was allocated to agriculture, with 82% and 64% respectively. Furthermore, water usage for industrial purposes in the two nations showed a significant difference, with Saudi Arabia's figure of 30% being three times higher than Egypt's 10%. In terms of domestic use, both countries recorded single-digit percentages, with Egypt's 8% and Saudi Arabia's slightly lower at 6%. Turning to the other nations, Canada and New Zealand demonstrated contrasting patterns, with industry being the major proportion of water usage. Specifically, Canada's was significantly higher at 70%, compared to 60% in New Zealand. Meanwhile, the rate of water allocated to agriculture in New Zealand accounted for 44%, which was four times higher than 10% in Canada. When it comes to domestic use, these two countries were relatively higher than the eastern countries, with Canada recording 20% and New Zealand representing 10%.
