The bar chart illustrates the expenditure, measured in millions, by people aged 18 to 20 in a particular country on five types of products in 2010 and 2014. Overall, the spending on five categories of products showed mixed trends over the period, the figures for food, smartphones and toiletries experienced growth, but at different rates, whereas the amount of money spent on clothes stay relatively unchanged. Meanwhile, the expenditure on books decreased dramatically. Additionally, the figure for food was the highest in both years while that of books witnessed the sharpest decline at around 500 millions. By contrast, the spending on smartphones had the biggest increase at roughly 700 millions. In 2010, the amount of money spent on food stood at nearly 3.700 millions, which was 1.700 significantly higher than that of smartphones. Furthermore, the figures for food and smartphones rose considerably, at 4.300 millions and 2.700 millions respectively in 2014. In the same time, clothes purchases stood at around 2.500 millions, followed by those of books and toiletries, at 1.000 millions and under 2.000 millions respectively. After that, the figure for books dropped sharply to just approximately 500 millions, in contrast to the expenditure on clothes remained relatively stable, at around 2.500 millions in 2014. Ultimately, the spending on toiletries rose slightly to 2.000 millions in 2014.
