The maps below compare the layout of student accommodation buildings in 2010 with its current arrangement. Overall, it is obvious that the accommodation has been redesigned to accommodate more students with an increase in the number of student bedrooms from three to five and some facilities have been upgraded. However, this has come at the expense of some communal living space and part of the garden area Regarding the map in 2010, the building contained three student bedrooms with one in the upper right-hand corner of the map, one on the left side and another in the bottom right-hand corner of the plan. While a living room occupied the upper section, a kitchen was located on the right side of the building. The bathroom was positioned near the centre of the plan, opening onto the hallway which was next to the main entrance. There were also some garden areas around the building, including a large one on the top and bottom of the map. Taking a closer look at the layout of the accommodation at present, the living room has been converted into a student bedroom and an additional student bedroom has been added along the upper part of the building. The old kitchen has been converted into a kitchen and a social area. While the student bedrooms on the left side and in the bottom-right corner remain unchanged, an en-suite room has been added near the lower part of the building. Outside, part of the upper garden has been sacrificed to accommodate an additional student bedroom, while the bottom garden area has been replaced by a car park.
