Although there are benefits of working at home, I believe the disadvantages are more significant.

There are certain main positive aspects that cause numerous people to work at home most of the time rather than going to an office every day. First of all, fuel prices are continuously rising due to the fluctuations in the global energy market. Working remotely helps the workers save a considerable amount of money for transportation. For example, an employee must go to an office, and spend about 40.000 VND for a vehicle such as fuel, parking fees or public transportation every day. Instead of, they work at home, and save around 40.000 VND a day, so they can use it for different purposes. Second, employees can have flexible working schedules more efficiently. For instance, employees are often late because of traffic jams. However, when they work at home, they will avoid traffic congestion, and reduce risk of arriving late for work. Notwithstanding, working at home has brought some disadvantages for employees. Employees will have fewer opportunities to interact with colleagues. This may lead to misunderstanding and weaker teamwork. For example, when working at home, employees reduce face to face communication, making it more difficult for employees to collaborate effectively with their colleagues. Occasionally, they will not express all ideas of themself, but if working in an office they will easily express it. In addition, they will be very concentrated hard at work due to many different factors such as family members, children. Besides, they can also not concentrate when having an individual message. Therefore, working on them is interrupted. For example, an employee is working at home, while family members are talking nearby, making it difficult to focus on their work. This may reduce work efficiency.

In conclusion, although working at home provides benefits such as saving transportation cost and offering greater flexibility, I believe its disadvantages outweigh its advantages. The lack of direct interaction and the presence of numerous distractions can negatively affect both employees productivity and teamwork in the long term.
