One school of thought holds that individuals living in the 21st century have better living standards than those living in previous centuries. From my perspective, I completely agree with this idea, and in this essay, I will support my opinion with examples.＋

Admittedly, it is understandable why some people believe that life today is not as satisfying as it was in the past. In this digitals’ era, young people face a lot of competition, pressure not only from their counterparts, families’ expectations but also modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) which can replace humans in various careers. Moreover, environmental degradation is another important reason, the increase of industries, vehicles, and modern human activities lead to serious pollution such as climate change, global warming, and even animal extinction . These issues seriously affect people’s well-being and make modern life more challenging in some respects. Despite the aforementioned arguments, I am convinced that life in this era is still better than before. The first reason is that technological advancement can bring better healthcare and high-tech facilities, which makes life easier and more convenient. Many diseases can be treated with the research and invention of vaccines, antibiotics and advanced surgery, leading to longer life expectancy. Plus, people can keep in touch with their relatives, friends, work from home, or study online without going out only through their smart devices. By those techniques, citizens can save time, money and complete their assignments efficiently with a lot of support. In this daily life, people may not need to do household chores because of robot appearance. As a result, despite the pressure of modern life, these remarkable improvements have enhanced people’s overall quality of life far more significantly.

In conclusion, although people today have to cope with higher levels of stress and environmental problems, I wholeheartedly believe that people in the 21st century generally enjoy a better living standard than those in previous centuries. Since they have more advanced services and supportive technologies.
